For its 7th edition, the BPM - Biennale de la Photographie de Mulhouse is renewing its partnership with PEP - Photographic Exploration Project.
As in 2024 for Impossible Worlds, an open call is launched by PEP to build a collective exhibition together.
This open call welcomes photographic and lens-based works that engage with the notion of sedimentation in all its forms - conceptual, literal or metaphorical. We are interested in how photography can act as a medium of sedimentation itself: capturing traces, constructing layers of meaning, or uncovering what lies beneath the surface. Through this exhibition, we intend to create a space for reflection on the way things build up, dissolve, and reconfigure both in the world and in ourselves.
