Peut-elle exister pr\u00e9alablement aux images ? Surgit-elle pendant que celles-ci sont en train d\u2019\u00eatre faites ou s\u2019impose-t-elle longtemps apr\u00e8s ? Et dans quelle mesure des \u00e9l\u00e9ments tels que le hasard ou les rencontres influent-ils sur ce processus ? Objet hybride et ouvert, \u00e0 mi-chemin entre le roman et le cin\u00e9ma, le livre de photographie a permis \u00e0 de nombreux photographes de trouver un espace de cr\u00e9ation nouveau, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart du magazine, de la galerie ou de la salle d\u2019exposition. Un lieu lib\u00e9r\u00e9 de la simple fonction d\u2019archivage, dont le photographe peut contr\u00f4ler tous les param\u00e8tres (impression, mise en page, rythme et format des images, choix des papiers, de la typographie, etc.) \u2013 ce qui lui permet de revendiquer plus que jamais une d\u00e9marche d\u2019auteur.<\/em> \u00bb\u00a0 Nicolas B\u00e9zard<\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre des journ\u00e9es inaugurales du festival, la Biennale de la Photographie de Mulhouse propose deux apr\u00e8s-midis consacr\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9dition de la photographie contemporaine. Le programme comprend des discussions-rencontres, des conf\u00e9rences, des pr\u00e9sentations et des signatures de livres refl\u00e9tant la vitalit\u00e9 et la diversit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;\u00e9dition photographique. D\u2019objets dans l\u2019espace, \u00e0 l\u2019espace comme objet du livre, nous nous int\u00e9resserons aux aller-retours que la relation espace\/ livre permet ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019espace de sociabilit\u00e9 qui peut en \u00e9merger.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Magali Avezou est une curatrice et \u00e9ducatrice sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e en photographie. Elle s\u2019int\u00e9resse au statut de l\u2019image contemporaine, au livre comme media et con\u00e7oit des dispositifs de m\u00e9diation hybride entre expositions et ateliers. Elle a collabor\u00e9 avec Manifesta, Flowers Gallery, les Rencontres d\u2019Arles, entre autres. Elle est maitre de conf\u00e9rence associ\u00e9e \u00e0 IED (Milan) et Sciences Po (Aix-en-Provence) et intervient r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement dans des \u00e9coles et universit\u00e9s europ\u00e9ennes. Magali Avezou est membre de C.E.A.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"offsetted\"><strong>15h15 : <\/strong>\u201cLa vie de libraire\u201d conf\u00e9rence en anglais par Giulia Zorzi, directrice de Micamera<\/p>\n<p>Depuis plus de vingt ans, Micamera est \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e des chemins dans le monde du livre photo : chaque jour, le lieu a accueilli des photographes, des \u00e9diteur\u00b7ices, des designers et des client\u00b7es plus ou moins passionn\u00e9\u00b7es, r\u00e9pondant aux demandes les plus diverses. Au commencement de Micamera, Amazon n&rsquo;\u00e9tait qu&rsquo;une id\u00e9e lointaine et Phaidon \u00e9tait encore sur le point de publier la premi\u00e8re <em>History of Photobooks<\/em> de Martin Parr et Gerry Badger ; l&rsquo;auto\u00e9dition \u00e9tait encore presque inconnue et le nombre de maisons d&rsquo;\u00e9dition et de distributeurs tiendrait dans un dossier de quelques pages. <br \/>\nUn tel monde existait-il vraiment ? Que s&rsquo;est-il pass\u00e9 au cours de ces vingt derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es et est-il encore utile de tenir une librairie de livres photo ? <br \/>\nLe cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant, comment les libraires peuvent-ils contribuer \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 du livre photo ? Cette conf\u00e9rence propose une br\u00e8ve histoire de la vie d&rsquo;une librairie, de ses le\u00e7ons et de ses projets.<\/p>\n<p>Micamera est une librairie, une galerie et une agence sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la photographie et bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Milan, en Italie. Sa pratique se situe \u00e0 l&rsquo;intersection du domaine des archives, des mus\u00e9es et des t\u00e9moignages de l&rsquo;anthropologie. La culture Khelovedu [Khelobedu] est au c\u0153ur de sa recherche. Il s&rsquo;appuie sur sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 compliquer les modes de connaissance et \u00e0 encourager la transdisciplinarit\u00e9. Son projet de recherche actuel, \u2018\u2013\u2013defunct context\u2019, aborde la synergie et la collaboration entre l&rsquo;art, la technologie et les syst\u00e8mes de connaissances autochtones. La prochaine parution de George Mahashe,\u00a0<em> -defunct context : Ambivalence to Important Work, <\/em>explore le livre d&rsquo;artiste et son \u00e9laboration en tant que processus d&rsquo;inscription de son archive artistique en tant que paysage de r\u00eave physique. Does it exist prior to the images? Does it arise while the images are being made, or does it take hold long afterwards? And to what extent do elements such as chance or encounters influence this process? A hybrid, open-ended object, halfway between the novel and the cinema, the photography book has enabled many photographers to find a new creative space, away from the magazine, the gallery or the showroom. A place freed from the simple function of archiving, in which the photographer can control all the parameters (printing, layout, rhythm and format of the images, choice of paper, typography, etc.) &#8211; allowing him or her to claim more than ever an authorial approach.<em>\u00a0\u00bb Nicolas B\u00e9zard<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"theme_color\"><em>As part of the opening days of the festival, the Mulhouse Biennial of Photography proposes two afternoons dedicated to the publishing of contemporary photography.The program includes book presentations, discussions and signingsreflecting the vitality and diversity of photographic publishing. From objects in space, to space as the object of the book, we&rsquo;ll be looking at the back-and-forth that the space\/book relationship allows, as well as the space of sociability that can emerge from it.<\/p>\n<p>Magali Avezou is a curator and educator specializing in photography. She is interested in the status of contemporary images and books as media, and designs hybrid mediation devices between exhibitions and workshops. She has collaborated with Manifesta, Flowers Gallery and Les Rencontres d&rsquo;Arles, among others. She is an associate lecturer at IED (Milan) and Sciences Po (Aix-en-Provence), and regularly lectures at European schools and universities. Magali Avezou is a member of C.E.A.<\/p>\n<p class=\"offsetted\"><strong>3:15pm: <\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0Life as a bookseller\u00a0\u00bb conference by Giulia Zorzi, director of Micamera Milan<\/p>\n<p>For over twenty years, Micamera has been at a crossroad in the world of photobooks: every day the place has welcomed photographers, publishers, designers and more or less passionate customers, answering the most different requests. At the start of Micamera, Amazon was a remote thought and Phaidon was still about to release Martin Parr and Gerry Badger&rsquo;s first <em>History of Photobooks<\/em>; self-publishing was yet almost undiscovered and the number of publishers and distributors would fit a file of a few pages. Did such a world even exist? What has happened over these twenty years, and does it still make sense to run a photobookstore? How &#8211; if at all &#8211; can booksellers contribute to the photobook community?
